Taproot Inc. is a family-operated business, founded by two sisters. It provides education on essential social/behavioral issues-through the use of artistic design, entertainment and digital technology. We design community-based movie productions and show others how they can too. All project templates and program models are well researched, deconstructed, and can be economically replicated by other communities. Over the past seven years, we have developed a process that accelerates learning, based upon the latest research in neuroscience: The Power of Paying Attention.
We have used this process to create pro-active educational film and stage productions that are completely deconstructed into a "How To" format, so your own community can replicate them.

The History of the Business
Taproot, Inc. was founded in 1997. It began as a service organization, specifically working with children who exhibited atypical behavior: children who had not been successful in any other program. The foundation of our work is based upon the research of four brilliant men; each of whom offers scientific evidence on the ability to learn.
- Dr. Stanley Greenspan: Early Childhood Development
- Dr. Howard Gardner: Multiple Intelligence Theory
- Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais: Somatic Education
- Ron Davis: Dyslexia and Other Perceptual Difficulties
We discovered that when their work was combined, in a variety of possible ways, learning became dramatically accelerated and behavioral issues disappeared.
- Our early work is written up as case studies, performed by Feldenkrais Practitioner Linda Flanders, and documented in the book, The Matrix Model by Dorothy Halla-Poe.
- When digital technology became affordable, we discovered that we could speed up learning even further.
- The Movie Making Process: a specific way of filming movies: developmental, educational and economical.
- It automatically incorporates our early work within it.
