Focusing on Today's Social Issues

Choose a company that does a stellar job of combining education with current media culture. By focusing on "The Movie Making Process" and original songs, we're able to interest kids where others have failed. The foundation of our work also takes into account all the developmental stages that kids go through to becoming well-adjusted adults.

Taproot’s mission is to enhance education through the pro-active use of the media arts: by promoting the development of local talent, dramatically increasing student’s technological skills and giving communities a cost-effective cutting edge way to understand and resolve global issues on a local level.

Serving the Community
Dorothy lives in Minnesota, and Linda came to Wisconsin after living in San Francisco. They have their hands on the pulse of the community and really understand what it needs.  Linda has  worked with dysfunctional behavior in kids. She realized that movies could be used as a powerful tool for change, which is how Taproot came to be. Dorothy brings her educational experience into the mix, and together the two have created an effective tool to keep kids out of the criminal justice system.
